And since it is in my "I'm-the-younger-sister-I- But, alas, this isn't really for the sake of my hair, it is for Restored Hope, here in Omaha. What's Restored Hope? It's a Christian-based transitional living facility for single moms who are coming out of drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness or prison. It's a program that allows the women to live as a community while they learn job skills, receive education, parenting advice and mentoring and further their recovery. This is a way that they have a safe and structured environment that their children can live with them. Right now they have 12 women, each living in their own 2-bedroom apartment. Why do they need toilet paper? Well, they need lots of things, but this is the way that Jayme and I have decided to help them out. When the women come into the apartments for the year-long program, Restored Hope furnishes it, including things like dishes and furniture and bedding and daily necessities. Most of these women are moving in with just the clothes that they are wearing and every little bit helps. What can you do to help? When is the contest over? The contest ends October 1st. So get a hold of me by then if you wish to help! Want to know about Restored Hope?
